Transforming an image online

Pixelate, resize, change format, reduce number of colors

Mona Lisa

Mona Lisa reduced to 27 colors

Mona Lisa reduced to 27 colors

Preparation

  • Have the image file available in .JPG or .PNG format. Reduce image size to less than 48 megapixels.
  • Determine the number of large pixels on the height or width of the image. The number of large pixels on the other side is calculated automatically to maintain the shape (or ratio) of the image. On the side for which the number of large pixels is specified, the maximum is 400.

Online application

Rotate the image first

Since the application does not take rotation metadata into account, it may be necessary to physically rotate the image first.

Number of large pixels

Size of a large pixel

A large pixel is defined by the number of small pixels on its side, for example 12×12. Within a large pixel, all the small pixels have the same color, so the dimensions of the image produced are fixed.

To avoid pixelation, enter 1

Dimensions of the pixelated image

Image width in small pixels
= (Image width in large pixels)×(Size of a large pixel)

Image height in small pixels
= (Image height in large pixels)×(Size of a large pixel)

Initial color of large pixels

Maximum number of colors in the generated image

A reduction in the number of colors makes it possible to form areas of the same color.
