A large image results in a large PDF file. To create a smaller PDF file, resize the image if you are willing to accept lower image quality.

Print margin

Margin 0 can be entered if you don't mind missing parts of the image near the edges of the sheets. This will facilitate assembly, as entire sheets can be juxtaposed.

Print

In your printing software, select A4 paper format, "automatic" orientation and "actual size" dimension.

Cutting

To cut out the photo, use a cutter, a cutting board and a ruler. To juxtapose two photos, cut on the 0.2 mm white line between the partial photo and the black frame.

Adjustment

Processing passes through various systems, including printing software, each with its own specificities. This is why there may be a slight discrepancy between the given dimension (noted c1) and the quantity actually measured (noted m). To obtain the desired result, replace the given dimension by the corrected value c2 calculated as follows:

c2 = (c1)2 / m     where

c1 = desired length
= value shown in the “Image size” field used to generate the PDF.

m = measured length
= measurement taken with a tape measure on the printed PDF that does not have the desired length.

c2 = corrected length
= new value to enter in the “Image Size” field to achieve the desired length.
